About Refresh Computers
Refresh Computers is a computer sales and service business. This was my first working role, alongside technical training.
What I did there
- Diagnosed and repaired desktops, laptops and peripherals.
- Installed and configured systems, software and accessories for customers.
- Handled customer support at the counter, from intake to handover.
What I learned
- Patient troubleshooting: change one thing at a time and test it.
- Explaining a technical problem in plain words, which is still most of my job.
- Being the person who fixes it rather than the person who reports it.
Highlights
- Completed Field Technician training in Computing and Peripherals with KITES Software.
- A comfort with hardware and systems that still saves time on every technical project.
