Project Overview
A private villa backyard in Abu Dhabi, designed as a set of usable outdoor rooms rather than one open space.
The climate does most of the deciding here – shade structures, planting and evening lighting matter more than the plan, because the space is really used after sunset.
What the Design Covered
- Outdoor kitchen and grill run with storage
- Pergola-shaded dining and lounge seating
- Open lawn with mature tree planting
- Children’s play area with climbing frame and slide
- Garden room with glazed frontage
- Layered planting beds and boundary screening
- Evening lighting scheme throughout
Outcome
Rendered in both daylight and evening lighting, since the evening condition is how the family would actually use it.
